dismutase は化学語 dismutation に酵素名の接尾辞 -ase が付いた語で、さらにラテン語 mutare「変える」にさかのぼります。dis-「別々に」と合わさり、「互いに別の形へ変える酵素」という感覚で、mutation や mutate と同じ語根です。
