心臓の内壁を覆う膜（心内膜）に炎症が起きる疾患。細菌感染が主な原因。
Endocarditis is a serious medical condition in which the inner lining of the heart becomes inflamed, usually because of an infection. This is a technical medical term and is mainly used by doctors, in health information, or in scientific writing.
