filer は、書類を分類して保管する人、または申請書や報告書を正式に提出する人を指す語。特に tax filer なら納税申告をする人のこと。日本語で言う「ファイラー」のようなファイル管理ソフトの意味で使うのは、英語では一般的ではない。
