胃の粘膜が炎症を起こした状態。腹痛や吐き気などの症状を伴う。
覚え方のコツ
gastric ulcer（胃潰瘍）の gastric や gastro-（胃・消化器）を知っていると、gastritis は「胃に関係する病気」だと入りやすいです。さらに -itis は arthritis, tonsillitis などにも出る「炎症」の定番語尾なので、gastr- + -itis で「胃の炎症」と分解して覚えるのが近道。disease 名として見たら、まず body part + inflammation の型を疑うと記憶に残ります。症状語ではなく診断名として、have gastritis, acute/chronic gastritis の形でも一緒に押さえると定着しやすいです。
