解説 Definition
農地や土壌に石灰を加えて酸性度を調整し、作物が養分を吸収しやすい状態に整えること。土壌改良の一種で、pHの改善やカルシウム補給を目的として行われ、農業や園芸で広く用いられる。
Liming is the process of adding lime to soil. Farmers and gardeners do this to reduce acidity and improve growing conditions for plants. The word is mainly used in agriculture and soil science.
