皮膚や毛髪に色素が沈着すること、または沈着した色素自体のこと。メラニン色素が集まることで、しみやそばかすが生じる現象である。
Pigmentation is the natural coloring of skin, hair, eyes, or other body tissue caused by pigment. The word is also used in medicine and beauty contexts when talking about changes such as darkening, lightening, or uneven color.
