Recirculation is the process of moving air, water, or another substance through a system again instead of replacing it completely. It is common in engineering, medicine, and building systems such as air conditioning. The word often suggests repeated flow within a closed or partly closed system.

まず re- を見たら「もう一度」、circulation を知っていれば「循環」。つまり recirculation は「いったん流れたものを、もう一度回すこと」と分解して覚えると定着しやすいです。air recirculation, water recirculation のように空気・水・血流など“流れるもの”と相性がよく、HVAC や工業設備の文脈で頻出。recycle が「再利用」寄りなのに対し、recirculation は同じ系の中で再び回すイメージです。
