解説
乾燥・濃縮されたものに水などを加えて元の状態に戻すこと。組織を再編成すること。
覚え方のコツ
re- は「もう一度」、constitute は constitution（構成・体質・憲法）の仲間だと見ると、「構成を作り直す」が芯だと覚えやすいです。単なる repair や restore より、ばらけたものを元の状態に組み直す感じが強め。食品なら reconstitute dried milk with water、組織なら reconstitute the committee のように、「水で戻す」と「再編する」の2場面をセットで覚えると定着します。reconstruct は物を作り直す、reconstitute は中身や構成を元に戻す寄りです。
