un- は「反対・否定」、real は「現実の」、-ly は「〜に」。まず realistically＝「現実的に」を知っていれば、その前に un- が付いて真逆になると整理できる。特に unrealistically high/low/optimistic/expect などでよく見かけ、「数字・期待・見通しが現実とかみ合っていない」場面を思い浮かべると残りやすい。impossible ほど完全否定ではなく、「理論上ありえても現実味が薄い」というズレを表す語。
