まず tired を確実に押さえる。I’m tired. で「疲れた」と言えれば、-ness は「状態」を名詞化する定番なので、tiredness はそのまま「疲れている状態」「疲労感」と取れる。happy→happiness, kind→kindness と同じ型で覚えると強い。意味は病名の fatigue ほど硬くなく、日常的な「だるさ・疲れ」を広く表せる。after a long day, mental tiredness のように身体にも頭にも使える。sleepiness は「眠さ」寄りなので混同しない。
