代役

俳優や舞台演技者が、主役の演者が出演できないときに代わりに演じる人。本来の役者の代わりとなる人です。
An understudy is a person, especially in the theater, who learns another performer’s role and is ready to replace them if necessary. The word is mainly used in stage productions and musicals. It refers to a backup performer rather than the main one.
