解説 Definition
野生のまま育った動植物、または文明社会から離れて育った人を指す語。やや古風・文学的な響きがあり、飼い慣らされていないことや、自然のままの荒々しさを含意して使われることが多い。
A wildling is a person, animal, or plant that lives in a wild natural state rather than being controlled or cultivated. It can also describe someone who seems untamed or behaves in a very free, rough way. The word is less common in everyday English and may sound literary or imaginative.
