assured は assure を知っていると覚えやすいです。assure は「安心させる・確信させる」なので、assured は「もう安心できていて、疑いがない状態」。I’m assured that ... で「…だと確信している」、be assured で「安心してください」にもなります。confident に近いですが、assured は気分の強さより「確かだと見なしている」響きがあり、self-assured なら「自信たっぷり」。ensure と形が似ていますが、ensure は「確実にする」動詞で別物です。
