解説 Definition
公式な場で誰かの行為を厳しく非難すること、またその非難の表明そのものを指す名詞です。しばしば政府や議会が不適切な行動に対して出す決議や声明で使われます。重大な違反を認定して公に責任を追及する際によく登場します。
Censure is strong public criticism or official disapproval of someone's actions. It is often used in politics, organizations, and formal situations when a person or group is openly condemned. Compared with ordinary criticism, censure sounds more serious and formal.
