cinch は英検1級レベルの英単語で、「簡単なこと」という意味があります。発音記号は /sɪntʃ/ です。
確実なこと、または簡単に達成できるもの。問題なく成功することが確定しているものを指す。
A cinch is something very easy to do or achieve. It is an informal word often used in everyday conversation.
cinch は単体で覚えるより、会話の型ごと覚えると残りやすい。典型は「It’s a cinch.」「The test was a cinch.」で、意味はただ easy ではなく「楽にできて、まず失敗しない」という確実さまで含む。easy が広い基本語なら、cinch は口語での“楽勝・勝ち確”寄り。a sure thing に近い感触で覚えると、名詞の「簡単なこと」「確実なこと」が一緒にまとまる。
Memorize it in the common pattern: `It's a cinch.` or `The test was a cinch.` It means more than just `easy`; it feels like something so easy you are unlikely to fail. That makes it close to `a sure thing` in everyday speech.
Winning the game is a cinch for the champion team.
試合に勝つことはチャンピオンチームにとって確実なことだ。
After years of practice, the difficult task became a cinch.
数年の練習の後、その難しいタスクは簡単なものになった。
Making this cake is a cinch if you follow the instructions carefully.

cinch a belt tight や cinch a dress at the waist の形で使い、単に留めるよりも締め付けて固定する含みがある。
米語 cinch はスペイン語 cincha「馬の腹帯」に由来し、さらにラテン語 cingulum「帯」へさかのぼります。帯をきゅっと締めて確実に固定する感覚から「簡単で確実なこと」となり、同根語に cincture や succinct があります。
Cinch came into American English from Spanish cincha, meaning a strap or girth used around a horse. That Spanish word goes back to Latin cingulum, meaning "belt" or "girdle." The idea of pulling a strap tight led to the later sense of something secure, certain, or easy to settle. Related English words from the same root include cincture.
