宇宙論とは、宇宙の起源、構造、進化、および本質についての理論と知識の体系です。物理学、天文学を基礎とした学問で、宇宙全体の統一的な理解を目指します。ビッグバン理論、ダークマター、宇宙の膨張など、宇宙規模の現象を研究する分野です。
Cosmology is the study of the universe as a whole, including how it began, how it is structured, and how it changes over time. It is mainly used in astronomy and physics. The word can also refer more generally to a set of ideas about the nature of the universe.
