最年長

最年長は、複数の人の中で最も年が高い、つまり一番歳上の人を指します。兄弟姉妹の中で最も年上の人を表します。
Eldest means the oldest among members of a family, especially children. It is most often used to compare brothers, sisters, or children in the same family. It is more specific than old because it shows rank by age.

elder（年上の）に最上級の -est が付いた形だと見ると覚えやすいです。まず elder brother / elder sister の「家族内でより年上」を押さえ、その頂点が eldest。「兄弟姉妹の中でいちばん上」と結びつけると定着します。oldest も「最も年上の」と言えますが、eldest は特に人、とくに家族関係でよく使う点をセットで覚えると混同しにくくなります。
See `eldest` as `elder` plus `-est`. If `elder brother` means the older brother, `eldest` is the one at the top in the family. It is especially common for family relationships, more than general `oldest`.
