木や竹などをくりぬいて側面に指穴やキーを設けた管状の楽器です。演奏者は吹き口に息を吹き込み、息の強さや位置で音の高さや色を変えます。指穴やキーを塞いだり開いたりすることで音程を切り替え、さまざまな旋律を奏でます。
