「マジカリー」とは、魔法が使われたかのように不思議で驚くべき方法で、という意味の副詞です。説明がつかないほどうまくいったり、突然変化が起きたりする場面を表現するときに使われます。驚きや感動を伴うポジティブな変化を描写することが多いです。

magically は magical + -ly で、magic はラテン語 magicus、さらにギリシャ語 magikos に由来する。もとは東方の祭司 magos の術を指し、magi や magician と同根。『人知を超えた力が働くように』という感触が、そのまま副詞の意味に残る。
