霊廟とは、故人や高位の人物を葬ったり記念したりするために建てられた立派な建造物のことです。通常は大規模で豪華な構造をもち、外観や内装に彫刻などの装飾が施されます。重要な人物をたたえる歴史的な記念碑として文化的価値が高く、観光名所になることもあります。
