ontological の語源・成り立ち Etymology
ontological は ontology + -ical で、ontology は近代ラテン語 ontologia、さらにギリシャ語 on「存在するもの」+ -logia「学・論」から来ます。つまり「存在そのものを論じる」というのが核で、ontology や paleontology にも同じ ont- の発想が見えます。
