現象学、つまり経験と意識の本質を研究する哲学的方法に関連する特性や方法論です。人間の主観的な体験や認識の構造を分析する学問的アプローチを指します。
Phenomenological means relating to the study or description of direct human experience as it is felt or perceived. It is mainly used in philosophy, psychology, and academic writing, where the focus is on experience itself rather than outside explanation.

phenomenon（現象）を知っていれば核はつかめます。そこに -logy（学問）, -logical（〜に関する）が付いた長い形で、「現象としてどう意識に現れるかを考える」方向の語。数値で測る empirical や experimental より、体験の現れ方・記述に寄るのが記憶フック。よく phenomenological analysis / approach / description。なお phenomenal「ものすごい」とは見た目が似ていて別語なので混同注意。

phenomenological は phenomenon「現れるもの」+ -logical「それを論じる」から成る語です。phenomenon はギリシャ語 phainesthai「現れる」に由来し、phase も同根。現象学的とは、物そのものより先に「どう現れるか」を問う立場です。
