pisco はペルーの港町 Pisco の名から来た酒名で、地名自体はケチュア語 pisku「鳥」に由来するとされます。土地の名がそのまま蒸留酒名になったので、Pisco Sour や Pisco Punch も同じ根から広がった呼び名です。
