post は postwar のように「後」、script は script（台本・書かれた文）。つまり postscript は「書いたあとに足すもの」と押さえると残りやすい。手紙の末尾の P.S. を思い浮かべると定着しやすい。本文を読み終えた後で、最後にもう一言だけ付け足す場面の語。本文そのものではなく、あくまで後付けの補足というニュアンスを意識すると、message や note と混同しにくい。
