texture を知っていれば、その形容詞形が textural と押さえるのが最短です。-al は「〜に関する」なので、意味はそのまま「質感に関する」。visual が見た目全体、tactile が触って感じる感覚なら、textural は表面のざらつき、織り目、素材感など“質感そのもの”に意識が向く語。textual（本文の・文章の）と1字違いで紛らわしいので、textur- と texture を必ずセットで覚えると混同しにくいです。design, fabric, surface, contrast などの文脈で見かけたら textural を連想すると定着しやすいです。

textural は texture「織り方・手触り」に -al が付いた語で、源流はラテン語 texere「織る」です。text や textile と同じ tex- をもち、布を織ってできる表面の違いが、そのまま「質感」という意味に育ちました。
Textural is formed from texture + -al. Texture comes through Latin from texere, meaning "to weave," the same root found in text and textile. The sense moved from the way threads are woven together to the surface quality or feel of a material.
