アメリカンフットボールで、キック後のボールが相手のエンドゾーン内で陥れられた場合。このプレーにより、ボール所有権を得たチームは20ヤードラインからプレーを開始する。セーフティとは異なり、得点にはならない。
A touchback is a result in American football when the ball becomes dead in the receiving team's end zone, and play starts from a set position on the field. It is a technical sports term used mainly in football rules and commentary.
