ある時点までの経験や状況をまとめて言いたいときに使う副詞句で、『今まで』とほぼ同じ意味。今この瞬間を含めてそこまでの流れを振り返るときに使うので、過去の継続を強調したい時に便利。文の位置は文頭や文中どちらにも来る。
