urinalysis は urine「尿」+ analysis「分析」で、urine はラテン語 urina、analysis はギリシャ語 ana-「ばらして」+ lysis「ほどく」です。dialysis や paralysis と同じ lysis を含み、「尿を成分ごとにほどいて調べる」検査だとわかります。
