火山
解説 Definition
「火山」とは、地球の内部からマグマや火山灰、ガスなどが地表に噴出する地形や現象を指す。プレートの境界や地下のホットスポットなどに形成されることが多く、噴火によって周辺地域に甚大な被害をもたらすこともある。一方で、火山活動によって豊かな土壌が生まれるなど、恩恵をもたらす側面もある。
A volcano is a mountain or hill with an opening in the earth where hot rock, ash, and gas can come out. It is used in geography and science when talking about natural forces and eruptions. Some volcanoes are active, while others have not erupted for a very long time.
