何かが正しくない、道理に合わない、あるいは倫理的に不適切であるという性質や状態を表す名詞。単なる一つのミスではなく、判断や行為の誤り、不自然さ、不当性といった抽象的な「正しくなさ」を指す。事実上の誤りだけでなく、道徳的な悪さを述べる場合にも使われる。

wrongness は wrong＋名詞化の接尾辞 -ness。wrong は古ノルド語 rangr『曲がった、まっすぐでない』にさかのぼり、wrongful や wrongly と同根で、『曲がり』がそのまま『誤り・不正』になったと見える語です。
This noun is formed in English from wrong and the suffix -ness. Wrong came from Old Norse rangr, which originally meant "crooked" or "not straight." From the idea of physical crookedness, the sense developed into moral or factual error, as also seen in wrongly and wrongful.
