運動失調は、神経系の問題によって引き起こされる運動の協調性の喪失です。筋肉の動きが不調整となり、バランスや手足の動きが困難になる医学的状態を指しています。

Ataxia comes from Greek ataxia, built from a-, meaning "without," and taxis, meaning "order" or "arrangement." The original sense was a lack of order or proper arrangement.
