複数の異なるものが同じ点に向かって集まること。数学や物理学では、値や関数が特定の点に近づいていく様子を表します。異なった事象や概念が同じ結論や方向に向かう傾向を示す形容詞です。
Convergent describes things that move toward the same point or become more similar over time. It is used in subjects like math, science, and ideas when different lines, results, or trends come together.

まず converge を土台にすると早い。convergent はその形容詞で、con- は「共に」の感じ。「ばらばらに始まったものが、同じ一点・結論・方向へ寄っていく」状態を表す。反対語 divergent とセットで覚えると意味が固定されやすい。議論が convergent、lines are convergent、evidence is convergent のように、意見・線・証拠が一致していく場面を思い浮かべると定着する。数学の『収束』も、値が目標点へ近づき続ける同じイメージでつなげて覚える。
