化学反応において、周囲から熱を吸収する性質を持つ。反応が進むにつれて周囲の温度が低下する反応で、発熱反応の対語。
Endothermic describes a chemical reaction or process that absorbs heat from its surroundings. It is used in science, especially chemistry and physics, when energy moves into a system instead of out of it. This is a technical term, often contrasted with exothermic.
