液状化
解説 Definition
固い地盤などが水を含んで液体のように振る舞う現象を表します。特に地震のあとに砂質の地盤がゆるみ、建物や道路に被害を出す「液状化」を指すことが多いです。
Liquefaction is the process of becoming liquid or being changed into a liquid state. It is also used in geology for a situation where wet ground loses its strength during an earthquake and behaves like liquid.
