困惑させる

理解や判断に困るような状況で相手を当惑させることを指し、情報や出来事が複雑すぎてどう解釈すべきか迷わせるときによく使われる。相手の表情や反応が「困惑している」ことを強調したいときに使える。
To perplex someone means to confuse them and make them feel unsure about what something means or what to do. It is used when something is difficult to understand in a mental or emotional way. The word is slightly formal.
