ポーチ（pouch）とは、小物を入れるための小さな袋や入れ物を指す名詞である。動物の世界では、カンガルーなどの有袋類が子どもを育てるために腹部に持つ袋状の器官を指すこともある。また郵便物や外交文書を入れる専用の袋（外交ポーチ）としても使われる。

Pouch entered Middle English from Old North French or Old French poche or pouche, meaning “bag” or “pocket.” Its deeper history is not entirely certain, but it is closely related historically to pocket, which developed as a diminutive form associated with the same French word family. The original container sense later extended naturally to baglike anatomical structures in animals and to specialized bags such as the diplomatic pouch.
