解説 Definition
物質が固体から液体を経ずに直接気体へ変わることを指します。心理学では、衝動や欲求を社会的に受け入れられる活動へ転化することも意味します。
To sublimate means to change directly from a solid into a gas without becoming liquid first. In psychology, it can also mean to redirect strong feelings or desires into a more acceptable activity. The scientific meaning is more common in technical use.
