茶をいれるための、注ぎ口と持ち手が付いたポット。英語では特に紅茶をいれて卓上で注ぐ容器を指すことが多く、日本茶用の「急須」と機能は似ていても、文化的には西洋式の茶器を思い浮かべるのが自然である。
