teasingly は古英語 tæsan「羊毛をほぐす・引き裂く」にさかのぼる tease に、-ing と副詞語尾 -ly が付いた語です。繊維をちくちくほぐす感覚から「人をからかって困らせる」が生まれ、tease や teasel も同系です。
