バロック時代の鍵盤楽曲。自由な即興的な曲調が特徴で、オルガンやピアノで演奏される。装飾的で急速な楽節を含むことが多い。
A toccata is a piece of music, usually for keyboard instruments such as the piano or organ, that is written to show the player's skill. It often has fast, flowing parts and is mainly used in classical music.
