unreservedly は un-「否定」+ reserved + -ly で、reserved は古フランス語 reserver、さらにラテン語 reservare「取っておく・控える」に由来します。つまり「控えを作らず、しまっておかずに」が転じて「遠慮なく」で、reserve や reservation が関連語です。
Unreservedly comes from un- "not," reserved, and the adverb ending -ly. Reserved goes back through Old French to Latin reservare, meaning "to keep back" or "save for later," which is also the source of reserve and reservation. From the idea of holding something back, unreservedly came to mean doing something with nothing held back.
