解説 Definition
反感とは、ある人や事柄に対する強い嫌悪や不好意の感情です。相手を認めたくない、または避けたいという気持ちを表します。
Antipathy is a strong feeling of dislike or opposition. It often refers to a natural, lasting negative feeling toward a person, idea, or activity. The word is somewhat formal and stronger than simple dislike.

sympathy（同情）や empathy（共感）は、相手に気持ちが寄っていく語。antipathy はその反対で、「相手に気持ちが向かうどころか、むしろ拒否感が出る」と並べて覚えると定着しやすいです。dislike より硬く強めで、理屈より“生理的に合わない”反感にも使えます。feel antipathy toward ... の形や a deep antipathy to reform のように、人物にも物事にも向く語として押さえると実戦的です。
Think of `sympathy` and `empathy`, where feeling moves toward someone. `Antipathy` goes in the opposite direction, so the prefix `anti-` gives you a strong memory hook. It sounds more serious and formal than simple `dislike`, and often appears with `toward` or `to`.
