不特定の人を指す代名詞で、文の種類によって意味が変わる。肯定文では「誰でも」、疑問文では「誰か」、否定文では「誰も～ない」の意味になることが多い。相手を特定せず、人一般について述べたり尋ねたりするときに使う。
Anyone means any person, no matter who. It is used in questions, negative sentences, and general statements when the person is not specific. In some contexts, it can mean everybody without exception.
覚え方のコツ Memory Tip
anyone は any + one と見て、まず any を「特定しない、候補を広く開く語」と捉えると覚えやすいです。someone が「ある誰か」に少し焦点を当てるのに対し、anyone は相手を絞らない感じ。疑問文・否定文で特によく出るので、Does anyone know...? / I don't know anyone. を丸ごと覚えると定着します。everyone は「全員」、no one は「誰も〜ない」と並べて区別すると整理しやすいです。anybody とほぼ同じ意味ですが、anyone はややすっきりした言い方として見かけます。
Break it into `any` + `one`. `Any` gives the feeling of an open choice, not one specific person. Remember it in common patterns like `Does anyone know...?` and `I don't know anyone.`
