叱る

相手の行動や過ちを言葉で非難すること。叱る、または軽く批判することを指します。
To chide someone means to speak to them in a mildly angry or disapproving way because they did something wrong. It is softer than strongly punish or shout at. The word is often used in formal or literary English.
