解説 Definition
「文明」とは、人類が発展させてきた社会的・文化的・技術的な成果の総体を指す名詞です。都市の形成、文字の使用、法律や制度の整備などが文明の特徴とされています。特定の地域や時代における高度に組織化された社会のあり方を表す際に使われます。
