A cyclopedia is a reference book that gives information on many subjects or on one large subject in many parts. It is an older or less common spelling of encyclopedia, so it often appears in formal or historical writing.

百科事典といえばまず encyclopedia を思い出すと覚えやすい語です。cyclopedia はその古い綴りで、実質的に en- が落ちた版だと見れば十分。見た目が cycle に近いので「自転車・周期」系に引っぱられやすいですが、意味はそちらではなく「知識を広くまとめた事典」。語尾の -pedia は encyclopedia と同じ目印なので、単独で出ても『知識集・事典』を連想すると定着します。a cyclopedia of history のように『〜事典』の形でも使えます。
Use `encyclopedia` as your main memory hook. `Cyclopedia` is basically an older spelling with the `en-` missing. Do not let the shape pull you toward `cycle`; think of a book of wide knowledge instead.

cyclopedia はギリシャ語 kyklos「円・輪」+ paideia「教育」にさかのぼり、もとは「ひと巡りの教養」という発想です。cycle や encyclopedia が同根で、知識をばらばらでなく一周できる形にまとめたからこそ、「百科事典」の意味になったと分かります。
Cyclopedia comes from Greek roots: kyklos meaning "circle" or "cycle," and paideia meaning "education" or "learning." The original idea was a "circle of learning," meaning a complete course of knowledge. From that sense of knowledge arranged as a whole, it came to mean a reference work covering many subjects; related words include cycle and encyclopedia.
