disruptor はラテン語 dis-「ばらばらに」+ rumpere「破る」から来た disrupt に、行為者語尾 -or が付いた語です。rupture や interrupt も同根で、もともと「連続したものを破って崩す人・装置」だとわかると、既存秩序を壊す意味が腑に落ちます。
