道具を使わず、目で見て大きさ・量・距離などをおおよそ見積もること、または相手や物をじろじろ見ることを表す。口語的な表現で、正確な計測ではなく感覚的な判断や、視線を向け続ける様子を強調するときに使われる。
Eyeballing means judging size, distance, or amount just by looking, without measuring exactly. In informal use, it can also mean looking at someone or something very closely, sometimes in a suspicious or challenging way.
