覚え方のコツ Memory Tip
invasiveness は invasive の名詞形で、「侵入してくる感じの強さ」と捉えると覚えやすいです。まず invasive を non-invasive(非侵襲的)と対で覚えると定着しやすく、医療では a test with low invasiveness のように、体への負担や傷つけ方の程度を表します。語尾の -ness は「性質・度合い」なので、「invasive という性質そのもの」と分解すると意味を取り違えにくくなります。
Break it into `invasive` + `-ness`. The ending `-ness` often turns an adjective into the quality or degree of that thing. If you already know `invasive` and its common opposite `non-invasive`, then `invasiveness` is easier to remember as the level of how invasive something is.

invasiveness の語源・成り立ち Etymology
invasiveness は invasive + -ness で、invasive はラテン語 invadere(in-「中へ」+ vadere「進む」)に由来する。vad- は evade や pervade と同根で、「中へ踏み込む」感覚から、医学の『侵襲性』につながる。
Invasiveness comes from invasive plus the noun ending -ness. Invasive goes back to Latin invadere, from in- "into" and vadere "to go" or "step." The basic idea was "going into" or "entering forcefully," which later developed into the modern sense of penetrating or spreading into something. Related words from the same root include evade and pervade.
