「mildly」は、穏やかに、わずかに、あるいは控えめな程度で何かが起きたり行われたりする様子を表す副詞です。感情や状態の程度が強くなく、ほどほどであることを示します。「控えめに言っても」というような婉曲表現としても使われます。
